GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Anakeesta is excited to announce it will host a qualifying round of the State of Tennessee’s Songwriters Week in February! The Tennessee Songwriters Week event allows select musicians to compete through multiple rounds of performances for the chance to play at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Cafe.
The Qualifying Rounds of the Tennessee Songwriters Week will be held at multiple locations throughout Tennessee from January 30 through February 12. On Feb 4, from noon to 2 p.m., East Tennessee’s best musicians will compete at Anakeesta for the chance to showcase their talents at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Cafe in March. The Tennessee Songwriters Week supports local talent and music venues, generates awareness of songwriters, helps pave the way for future artists, and inspires visitors to travel to experience the state’s music, history, attractions, and venues.
Songwriters who win in the qualifying round at Anakeesta will move onto the Showcase Events round, which are held from February 20 through February 26 with the final competition held on March 20 at the Bluebird Cafe.

To watch this qualifying round of musicians at Anakeesta, visitors can purchase general admission; there is no additional charge to enjoy the songwriters competition.
