For a more magical experience, add on the captivating Astra Lumina walk, an immersive, theatrical journey through the woods that’s one of eight of its kind in the United States.

If your family wants a true “wow” moment, Astra Lumina is a must-see, signature after-dark experience for all ages.
Astra Lumina is an immersive trail through the woods, filled with impressive light displays and soundscapes. The walk is broken down into nine distinct “chapters,” guiding you along a celestial pathway in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. You’ll find synchronized lights, original music, and special effects bringing the story to life in about 45 minutes to an hour.
GET COZY
Gather around the fire pit while you enjoy a sweet treat or cold brew and share in the excitement of all the wonderful things Anakeesta has to offer. Black Bear Village is a hub of activity where friends and families can relax and enjoy each others company, listen to music, watch a movie and soak up every moment of your trip! Take in the sunset from whimsical firefly village as you watch the lights of downtown Gatlinburg come to life!
Adventure Around Every Corner
Families and couples can enjoy a stroll along the Treetop Skywalk, where the bridges are illuminated by twinkling lights, offering a serene perspective of the forest 60 feet above the ground.
For those traveling with younger explorers, BirdVenture becomes a nighttime highlight as kids can climb through larger-than-life birdhouses and zip down seven giant serpentine slides that come alive with vibrant light displays.
Whether you’re navigating the lighted challenge courses or simply enjoying the mountain air, Anakeesta offers a safe and whimsical “after-hours” playground for guests of all ages.

There is no better place to experience a Smoky Mountain sunset than at Anakeesta’s Smokehouse Restaurant. 270 degree views from the outdoor deck offer the best best spot to overlook downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains while sipping on an ice cold refreshment from our full bar.
Coming Spring 2026: The Firefly Experience
For about two weeks each year, the Great Smoky Mountains become famous for synchronous fireflies. In Spring 2026, we’re bringing a version of that magic to Anakeesta year-round.
The upcoming Firefly Experience will use state-of-the-art lighting and design to mimic the fireflies’ synchronized glow—creating a walk-through built around storytelling, nature’s beauty, and unforgettable light displays.
