GATLINBURG, Tenn. (April 26, 2023) – Local days are back! Anakeesta is home to the best events in Gatlinburg, and we’re dedicated to giving back to our workforce, the Smoky Mountain community, and the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park. This year, we are partnering with one of the major fundraising groups for the park all while giving residents a chance to visit at a discounted rate.
Some East Tennesseans will soon have the chance to enjoy spring in the Smokies at Anakeesta for just $5! Anakeesta is hosting its Local Appreciation Days for local residents and
employees of multiple counties this May.
From May 8 through May 14, residents and workers in Blount, Cocke, Jefferson, and Sevier Counties will be able to enjoy a mountaintop adventure in the Smokies for just $5, all
while contributing to a wonderful cause. Part of the proceeds from Local Appreciation Day sales will benefit Friends of the Smokies.
Friends of the Smokies assists the National Park Service in its mission to protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park through fundraising efforts, public education projects and
volunteers. You can learn more about the organization by visiting their website at https://friendsofthesmokies.org/.
