GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Anakeesta’s hometown has won a well-deserved award. Gatlinburg was named “Best Mountain Town to Visit” by U.S. News and World Report.
The City of Gatlinburg beat out 20 other finalists to take the top spot. Pointing to Gatlinburg’s access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the report says, “With three entrances to Great Smoky Mountains National Park located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, it’s no surprise that visiting the park is the most popular attraction in this eastern Tennessee town.”
It’s not only the park that attracts millions of visitors throughout the year, attractions, like Anakeesta, offer families fun and adventure, along with memories that last a life time.
The report adds, “But Gatlinburg isn’t just a gateway to the Smokies. This small mountain town is a destination in its own right, and one that’s particularly popular with families thanks to kid-friendly diversions.”
With its wonderful local beauty, fun attractions, and amazing local atmosphere, Gatlinburg beat out towns like Aspen, Colorado and Bar Harbor, Maine.
