GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Nov. 15, 2024) – Local days are back! Anakeesta is dedicated to giving back to our workforce and the East Tennessee community. This year, we are partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee and their efforts to help areas impacted by Hurricane Helene while giving residents a chance to visit at a discounted rate.
Anakeesta is hosting its Local Appreciation Days for residents and employees of multiple counties this fall. From Nov. 15 through Nov. 22, residents and workers in Blount, Cocke, Jefferson, and Sevier Counties will be able to enjoy a mountaintop adventure in the Smokies for just $5, all while contributing to a wonderful cause. Part of the proceeds from Local Appreciation Days sales will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
Second Harvest is an organization whose programs are designed to serve those experiencing hunger across East Tennessee, from children to seniors. Second Harvest’s programs distribute food to 18 counties across the region and provide educational resources to end the cycle of poverty. You can learn more about the organization by visiting their website at https://secondharvestetn.org/.
To receive $5 admission, guests must show a Tennessee Photo ID with a current address or show a current Photo ID along with a paystub from the following counties: Blount, Cocke, Jefferson, or Sevier dated within the last 30 days.
