GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2024) – Anakeesta, East Tennessee’s premier outdoor adventure park, is proud to announce a $33,263 donation to support recovery efforts in Cocke County and surrounding East Tennessee communities. The funds were raised through Anakeesta’s “Anakeesta Cares” initiative from October 1 to October 15. This money will be distributed to three local charities dedicated to rebuilding and aiding those affected by recent challenges in the region.
Recipients of the donation include:
- Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee: Supporting local families with emergency relief, distributing food to those impacted, and providing educational resources to the area.
- Crossings Church: Focused on food insecurities in the region and providing necessities for those affected.
- East Tennessee Foundation: Provides prompt and effective grants to empower local nonprofits and agencies to rescue and recover their own communities amid devastating impacts from Hurricane Helene.

Cocke County and surrounding communities have faced significant adversity in recent months, with natural disasters and other challenges affecting the livelihoods of many. Anakeesta’s contribution will help provide critical support to ensure that families and businesses can continue to thrive.
